Migrating a system using Configuration Manager

Each field deployed system is unique. Some systems have been modified very little from the factory defaults, while others may have been completely customized. In PME, the various configuration items and settings are stored in different locations and in different formats. Most of the configuration items and settings stored in a file or in the database are
- Step 1 – Prepare both systems
- Step 2 – Copy the configuration of the old system
- Step 3 – Identify settings that must be individually transferred
- Step 4 – Transfer the configuration into the new system
- Step 5 – Upgrade the transferred configuration
- Step 6 – Configure the individually transferred settings
- Step 7 – Perform a post-upgrade-migration system check
